page.Requirements:Bush Hog is one of the most recognized and
successful names in the Agricultural Market. The Assistant
Controller is a key position in the Company and will support and
contribute to the company goals of profitability, return on
investment, inventory turnover, and accident prevention. The
Assistant Controller will lead all day to day financial activities
and be responsible for providing performance metrics, analyzing
operational results, and managing annual budget and 5 year
forecasting processes. Position assists in providing assistance and
guidance with Audit requests and represents the accounting function
within the operation. Reports to the Plant Controller.Essential
Functions of the Job:Supervise and mentor the accounting department
staff.Oversee chart of accounts, general ledger, and reporting
systems to ensure compliance with GAAP.Assist in month-end,
quarterly, and annual closes.Manage operational data and ensure
financial data's integrity and accuracy.Assist in costing
activities, including annual re-costing and pricing
processes.Manage the budgeting and forecasting process.Maintain
internal controls and safeguards for assets.Maintain a documented
system of accounting policies, procedures, and work
instructions.Identify and implement continuous improvement plans
within the organization.Lead and be part of project teams both
within the accounting department and outside the
department.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):Accounting and
budgeting including Generally Accepted Accounting
Principles.Technology - advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel and
other Microsoft Office applications, advanced knowledge of
accounting and reporting software - JD Edwards, Vena experience a
plus; ability to extract and interpret data from various
sources.Ability to multi-task and have the foresight to plan and
delegate accordingly.Strong communication, leadership and
interpersonal skills.Strong organizational and time management
skills.Manufacturing industry experience preferred.Core

improvement.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in
Accounting or Finance.Minimum 5 years' experience of relative
accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.Advanced degree
and/or certification highly desirable.Working Conditions:While
performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
required to sit for prolonged periods.Must be able to work
overtime, weekends and/or holidays as required to complete job
requirements.Required to wear personal protective equipment while
performing work in production area.
