Job Description Job Description Job Title: Commercial Electrician Job Description Join a dynamic team to work on large healthcare new construction projects, including the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. This role involves assembling, installing, and wiring apparatus and fixtures using both hand and power tools, with a focus on conduit/EMT proficiency. The position requires reading and interpreting blueprints, installing fuse boxes, and utilizing basic electrical tools. Shift: 7am to 3:30 M-F Duration: 1 Month Environment: Healthcare Pay: 22-30/hr dependent on experince Responsibilities Assemble, install, and wire apparatus and fixtures using hand and power tools. Bend and run conduit/EMT proficiently. Read and interpret blueprints for accurate electrical installations. Install and wire fuse boxes as per project requirements. Use basic and hand tools effectively for electrical tasks. Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing PPE such as hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots. Ensure presence on site by 6:50 am every morning and work from 7 am to 3:30 pm, five days a week. Essential Skills 7 years of commercial new construction electrical experience. Proficiency in running and bending conduit and getting out of walls. Ability to read blueprints and schematics. Experience with high voltage electrical components. Electrical troubleshooting and panel termination skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications 8 years of new commercial construction experience is preferred. Experience in healthcare environments, particularly hospitals, is valued. Ability to work independently and oversee a crew. Recent experience within the last year is essential. The environment will vary between outdoor and indoor settings, requiring adaptability to weather conditions. Contractors are expected to use basic hand tools and a cordless drill, wear PPE such as hi-vis shirts/vests, safety gloves, and working pants, and have reliable transportation. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Jacksonville, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
