Job Description Job Description Job Title: Forklift Operator and Material Handler Job Description Join a dedicated team as a Forklift Operator and Material Handler with one of the county's largest distributors of car wash components. This position offers permanent employment and long-term stability. Candidates will operate forklifts and build orders, spending 40% of their shift on the forklift and 60% on order selection. Responsibilities Select stock to fill customer orders using an iPad and scanner. Read and understand order requirements and shelf locations. Ensure order accuracy while meeting productivity goals. Build and prepare pallets for shipping using automated wrap machines. Safely operate equipment required to pick stock from shelves. Coordinate work with team members and supervisors. Perform additional job duties as required. Essential Skills Minimum 6 months of sit-down forklift experience or previous forklift certification. Material handling and order picking skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently throughout the shift. Proficiency in operating RF scanners and pallet jacks. Why Work Here? The team is small, providing a close-knit work environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Troy, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
