Located in Bessemer, AL, this K-12 school seeks qualified School Psychologists and Psychometrists for a contract position throughout the school year (CSY). This role offers an opportunity to support student success by providing comprehensive psychological services in an educational setting. Key Responsibilities: Conduct screenings and evaluations of students for disabilities based on referrals from teachers and administrators. Administer psychological and neuropsychological tests adhering to standardized procedures. Interview students and observe their behavior in school settings. Compile detailed evaluation reports for inclusion in student records. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and support Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Provide counseling services and guidance to students, teachers, and families. Manage timing and scoring of tests, addressing any irregularities promptly. Assist in psychometric research and data collection as required. Support school personnel in evaluation processes linked to eligibility and IEP data needs. Conduct legally mandated evaluations and produce written documentation. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Experience working in school settings with K-12 populations. Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and testing protocols. Ability to interpret test results and prepare clear reports. Familiarity with IEP development and special education processes. Good communication and collaborative skills. Detail-oriented approach to data collection and evaluation. Licensed or credentialed as appropriate for school psychologist or psychometrist roles. Schedule and Location: 30 hours per week. Position based in Bessemer, Alabama, serving a diverse K-12 student body.
