Job Description Job Description Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher
of the Visually Impaired certification and 1 years Teacher of the
Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet
these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time
opportunity is available for a certified Teacher of the Visually
Impaired (TVI) to support multiple school districts within
Washington County, PA. This role involves providing specialized
instruction and assistance to students with visual impairments from
kindergarten through 12th grade. The position requires flexibility
to travel between various district sites, with the possibility of
part-time hours or virtual work depending on district preferences.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized educational
programming for students with visual impairments across multiple
districts. Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and
support staff to develop and implement effective learning
strategies. Assess student needs and progress, adjusting
instructional methods accordingly. Support students in mastering
skills related to orientation and mobility, Braille literacy, and
assistive technology. Maintain accurate records and communicate
regularly with district staff and families. Travel to assigned
school sites within Washington County as needed. Qualifications:
Active certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI).
Experience working with K-12 students who have visual impairments.
Ability and willingness to travel between educational sites. Strong
communication and organizational skills. Comfort with utilizing
virtual platforms for instruction, if applicable. Location:
Washington County, Pennsylvania (onsite with travel between
