Incumbent's regular assignments are primarily ART duties: however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities* Position may require a background security investigation to determine suitability for employment and/or a security clearance* Must participate in regular and frequent flights as required by commander, over and above the flying necessitated by the position. May be assigned additional duty flight examiner responsibilities as determined by the supervisor.* May be exposed to gravity forces of three to seven depending upon the aircraft which assigned.* Is subject to the normal pressures, deadlines and other conditions inherent in this position and others found in the aircrew occupation.* Must take and pass standardization/evaluation examinations which consist of both written tests and actual flight performance to demonstrate flight knowledge and abilities required of the position, as prescribed by regulations.* "Key Management" position requiring participation in formulating, determining, or influencing the assigned unit's training policies, IAW FPM Sup 930-71, Appendix D.* Must be instructor qualified, mission-ready, rated navigator member on flying status in unit to which assigned.### QualificationsApplicants must meet the flying hours requirement below, qualify for a USAF Navigator or Combat Systems Officer Rating, be an undergraduate navigator trainee (UNT) graduate, and be currently qualified (within the last 8 years) as a Navigator (Instructor).Flying Hours Required:Navigator (Instructor), GS-12- Must have been awarded or qualify for a USAF Navigator or Combat Systems Officer rating and hold a valid aviation service aeronautical order. Minimum of 1,000 total Military Flight Time and Instructor qualified in unit aircraft.NOTE: Flying hours logged as student Navigator and simulator are creditable.
