Job Description Job Description Position Summary The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machining equipment to produce precision parts that meet engineering specifications and quality standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and experience machining custom or production components in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machines including mills and/or lathes Load programs, set offsets, and perform tool changes Machine parts to print while maintaining tight tolerances Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools Make minor program edits as needed to improve part quality and efficiency Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, fixturing, and machine performance Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow all company safety, quality, and production procedures Work collaboratively with programmers, engineers, and supervisors Required Qualifications 2 years of experience as a CNC Machinist Experience operating CNC mills and/or lathes Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills Familiarity with GD&T Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred Qualifications CNC programming or editing experience (G-code or conversational) Experience with job shop or custom machining environments Multi-axis machining experience (3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis) Experience with CNC controls such as Fanuc, Mazatrol, Haas, Siemens, or Okuma Tooling and fixturing experience Tools & Equipment CNC Mills & Lathes Precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, indicators) Hand tools and inspection equipment Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay with overtime opportunities Shift differential (if applicable) Benefits package may include: Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Career growth and training opportunities Work Environment Manufacturing or job shop setting Standing for extended periods Lifting up to 50 lbs Climate-controlled shop (if applicable) You should be proficient in: CNC Programming CNC Machine Setup & Changeover Machines & technologies you'll use: CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC) (Mazak, Doosan) CNC Lathe (2-4 axis) (Doosan, Mazak) CAM Software (Mastercam)
