Job Description Job Description General Production Worker Pay: $23/Hour Location: Kent, WA Shift: 3PM-11:30PM OR 11PM-7:30AM (12 Days on 2 Days Off) Job Description Join a leading wire manufacturer in the western United States. As a General Production Worker, you will be part of a team that produces essential galvanized and reinforcement wire products used in diverse fields such as agriculture, construction, and transportation. Responsibilities Operate and monitor galvanizing line equipment, including payoff units, cleaning stations, zinc kettles, cooling sections, and take-up/winding machinery. Feed raw wire into the line and ensure continuous, efficient material flow throughout the production process. Inspect wire for coating quality, diameter consistency, surface defects, and proper zinc adhesion. Perform routine adjustments to line speed, temperature, tension, and coating parameters to maintain product specifications. Handle zinc ingots, flux materials, and other production inputs safely and efficiently. Conduct basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning equipment, clearing jams, replacing worn components, and reporting mechanical issues. Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements, lockout/tagout, and hot-metal handling protocols. Essential Skills Mechanically inclined and able to operate machinery. Safety oriented with strong adherence to safety protocols. Ability to work at heights and in high-heat environments. Excellent attendance record. Team-oriented and collaborative. Additional Skills & Qualifications General labor and production experience. Machine operation skills. Minimum of 2-3 years tenure in previous job. Manager reference required regarding attendance. Work Environment Work in a large wire fence manufacturing facility with a focus on galvanized wire processes. The environment is high-heat due to molten zinc kettles and requires working at heights. Exposure to noise, fumes, and heavy machinery is expected. The facility operates on a 12-days-on/2-days-off schedule, with shifts available across day, swing, and night hours. Safety is a top priority, and employees must be aware of their surroundings at all times. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Kent, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $47840.00/yr.
