Drax Group plc is seeking a skilled Electrical/Instrumentation Technician to join our innovative team in the UK, dedicated to advancing our mission towards a zero carbon, lower cost energy future. This role is crucial for ensuring the high reliability and functionality of our electrical and instrumentation systems, which support our advanced energy production facilities. The successful candidate will be directly involved in the hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancement of electrical, instrument, and control systems. Perform routine and emergency maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment to ensure uninterrupted power generation. Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation and control systems. Troubleshoot issues related to electrical systems, PLCs, and other control systems. Conduct tests and inspections to verify the functionality of electrical and instrumentation systems. Collaborate with the engineering team to improve system performance and efficiency. Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and technical manuals. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Participate in training and development programs to stay updated with the latest industry standards and technology. Profound knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and all types of instrumentation used in the power generation industry. Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and understand complex technical documentation. Proficient in the use of test equipment and tools related to electrical and instrumentation work. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Instrumentation Technician (CIT) or equivalent. Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST) is preferred.
