Job Description:
Drax Group plc, a forefront leader in sustainable energy
solutions in the UK, is seeking a skilled Electrical &
Instrumentation Technician to join our Engineering & Maintenance
department. This role is pivotal in ensuring the high reliability
and performance of our electrical and instrumentation systems,
crucial for our operations in power generation and electricity
sales. As a vital part of our team, you will contribute directly to
Drax's commitment to a zero carbon, lower cost energy future by
maintaining and improving our sophisticated electrical systems.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections of electrical and
instrumentation equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
Diagnose and repair faults in electrical systems and
instrumentation. Install new electrical components and
instrumentation according to safety and industry standards.
Regularly review and update electrical maintenance procedures and
documentation. Collaborate with engineering teams to implement
system improvements and projects. Ensure compliance with health,
safety, and environmental regulations. Provide technical support
and training to other maintenance staff and stakeholders as
required. Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing electrical
and control systems. Familiarity with electrical regulations and
safety standards. Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams
and schematics. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Experience with PLCs and other automation technologies. Medical

Required: Certified Instrumentation Technician (CIT) or similar
Preferred: Certified Electrical Technician (CET) Optional but
beneficial: PLC Programming certification
