Job Description:
Drax Group plc is seeking a dedicated Control Room Operator to
oversee the daily operations of our power generation facilities.
This role is pivotal in maintaining the safe, efficient, and
effective operation of our plant, ensuring that we meet our goals
of zero carbon and lower-cost energy production. As a Control Room
Operator at Drax, you will manage the control systems for power
generation, monitor energy production processes, and respond
swiftly to any operational discrepancies with a focus on safety,
reliability, and environmental standards. Monitor and operate
control systems for electric power generation. Analyze system
performance and make adjustments to optimize energy production.
Conduct regular checks and maintenance of the control room
equipment to ensure functionality. Communicate effectively with
team members about operational status and safety measures. Handle
emergency situations by following established protocols to
safeguard personnel and equipment. Record operational data and
generate reports for compliance and performance assessment.
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement process
improvements. Proficient in operating and maintaining control room
technology and software. Strong analytical skills to assess complex
production environments. Excellent communication and teamwork
skills. Capable of swift decision-making under pressure. In-depth
understanding of power generation processes and machinery. Medical
