Job Description:
Drax Group plc, a leading player in the energy sector, is
seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to
join our dedicated team. This role is crucial in maintaining and
enhancing the efficiency and safety of our electrical generation
systems. The successful candidate will be instrumental in
supporting Drax’s mission to foster a zero-carbon, cost-effective
energy future while ensuring the highest standards of operational
integrity and compliance. Perform routine maintenance and emergency
repairs of electrical and instrumentation equipment to ensure
operational efficiency. Install and calibrate electrical, pneumatic
and electronic systems for operations and safety compliance.
Troubleshoot issues related to instrument software and hardware to
diagnose errors and ensure timely resolution. Read and interpret
technical schematics and drawing to accurately execute maintenance
and enhancement projects. Collaborate with the maintenance team to
develop strategies that improve service quality and reliability.
Ensure adherence to all company safety standards and policies,
including risk assessments and protective equipment. In-depth
knowledge of electrical systems and instrumentation. Familiarity
with PLC programming and diagnostics. Strong analytical skills and
attention to detail. Effective communication skills for
coordinating with team members and documenting process records.
Ability to operate specialized tools and equipment for electrical
repairs and maintenance. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k BB5 or equivalent certification.
Certified in Electrical Installation Work. Safety training in High
Voltage systems is preferred.
