Responsibilities
The Account Manager is responsible for the coordination, customer
support and execution of rental orders for PRG GEAR Customers
throughout the local and national network. The goal in this
position is to create high utilization of PRG assets, while
balancing the company and customer needs to result in profitable
business for all parties. It is the policy of PRG to provide
excellent customer service both internally and externally. -
Employees are expected to perform all of their duties and
responsibilities in accordance with this policy at all times. Can
be assigned related work as required.
Essential functions
- Responsible for the support of client relationships across
select market segments as it specifically relates to ALL rental
needs by writing quotes, confirming orders, establishing new
accounts, executing post show billing, and growing the business
within the assigned market and beyond. - -
- Negotiate prices on equipment rentals following company
guidelines with attention to: -
- Acceptable Margin -
- Acceptable profitability - -
- Acceptable pricing considerations regarding utilization and
seasonality -
- Responsible for initial order creation and entry, including job
specifications and discretionary identification of equipment
options and alternatives to best support customer needs and
leverage existing available inventory -
- Consult PRG GEAR peers, internal engineers, and clients on best
options for desired technical outcome and leverage internal team to
upsell solutions -
- Strategically manage small set of growing key accounts to
include all customers within the assigned market segment.
- Work with operations for successful execution of customers'
orders
- Warm call on lost and/or dormant accounts to retain
business.
- Expert knowledge of Salesforce and Asset Management
System
- Other duties as assigned by Regional Vice President of
Sales.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Basic knowledge of the principles and practices of event and/or
entertainment technology sales and marketing
- Understanding that entertainment -customer's -hours are not
predictable, and -Sales -Agent must be able to support and
prioritize schedule accordingly - -
- Thorough knowledge of organizations policies and resources -

- Basic knowledge of the function and capability of event and
entertainment technology equipment across all disciplines

- Desire to gain knowledge of current trends and advancements in
event and entertainment technology and the direction of equipment
development. - -
- Basic knowledge of the technical principles of operation of the
equipment in inventory. - -
- Good knowledge of modern office procedures and practices

- Good knowledge of common computer productivity tools, such as
Microsoft Office
- Good people skills in working with -customer -to understand
needs and quickly return quotes to them while learning the basics
of upselling to their needs -

Physical demands
- May be required to spend long hours standing, bending,
stooping, and/or walking.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry objects up to 75
pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at
times.
- The position requires the ability to see clearly (with or
without the aid of glasses or contact lenses) during
responsibilities on and off a computer.
- Must be able to communicate effectively by listening and in
both written and verbal forms.
- Must be able to work in various weather and temperature
conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold.
- To operate motor vehicles, load, and unload trucks.
Travel required
- Travel -Required -may occasionally be -required -to on-site
systems and facilities -
- Must have valid Driver's License -
Required education and experience
- Completion of four years of post-secondary education from an
accredited institution of higher learning with a concentration in
business administration, hospitality management, operations
management or related entertainment technology fields. -
- One or more years of experience in shop operations or sales in
a market appropriate to the position vacancy.
