Overview
Technical Consulting Manager, Professional Services

Position Summary
The Technical Consulting Manager focuses on developing and
optimizing consulting services, managing consulting resources as
direct reports, and leading project teams in delivering consulting
services in support of SaaS Implementation and Production
Support.
Qualifications
Functional Skillset:
10+ years working with Healthcare Core Administrative Processing
Systems (CAPS)
8+ years in a client-facing consulting role, working at a
technology company with a SaaS model
10+ years prior health Plan industry (HMO, PPO, POS, MAPD,
Medicare, Medicaid, Dental etc.) With knowledge of HealthCare
Operations domains (Enrollment, Provider, Claims, Benefits,
Contracting, Pricing, Correspondence)
8+ years experience leading client discovery, requirements
gathering, facilitating client sessions, triaging of implementation
issues, and testing complex interfaces
Experience in managing, scaling, and upskilling (Professional
Services) teams, within a SaaS model
Prior experience leading the scoping and delivery of technology
services engagements, including project and engagement
management
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to
articulate concepts to a variety of audiences
Demonstrated ability to manage personnel and processes
Technical Skillset:
Experience with web technologies, middleware such as
WebLogic/WebSphere and popular RDBMS systems
Strong knowledge of databases (preferably Oracle), understand
schemas, database structures
Experience with Linux operating systems
Experience with Relational Database queries (SQL)
Experience with ETL frameworks, including HIPAA X12 transformation
solutions.
Experience with SOAP and Webservices
Ability to navigate and operate in SmartSheet and Salesforce
ITS/BlueCard experience a plus
Your impact:
Services Delivery
The Technical Consulting Manager is responsible for the successful
delivery of consulting services as well as the coordination of
activities and information between key engagement stakeholders.
Develop and optimize consulting methods and tools to ensure
services are delivered within budget, quality, and client
expectations.
Resource Management
Manage resource supply and capabilities, including but not limited
to, identifying resource level and skill needs, evaluating resource
performance, and advising resources on skill and career
development.
Services Growth
Grow consulting services by contributing to the expansion of the
services offering portfolio and the expansion of the customer
base.
Lead Consultant
Perform duties as a Principal consultant on consulting engagements
as an Individual Contributor to include but not limited to:
Advise on implementation effort and resource needs
Direct and oversee technical consultant tasks
Build and present business cases
Build and present executable task plans
Provide business decision recommendations
Participate in innovation projects to develop capabilities
Execute technical implementation activities
Direct, advise, mentor and guide other consultants in services
provided to HealthEdge clients.
Responsibilities:
Manage consultant work under their direction (e.g. direct reports,
matrix, or subcontractor) to ensure optimal resource utilization
and engagement execution
Ensure all direct reports and project team members have a solid
understanding of client business objectives and there is a plan s
to attain those objectives
Provide business and product leadership in analysis, communication,
and consulting skills
Ensure successful delivery of consulting services, particularly
through effective engagement and customer management.
Personally, deliver billable consulting services, primarily, as
individual contributor and be able to perform the duties of a
Principal Consultant.
Become a subject matter expert and trusted client advisor on one or
more HealthEdge products
Meet assigned revenue targets through effective utilization of
direct reports
Grows revenue for the assigned clients/projects through the
effective management and expansion of the existing account(s) /
project(s)
Leads the scoping, sizing, and estimating efforts for assigned
engagements
Manage competing priorities to set overall prioritization of
project activities
Be a creative, driven and supportive leader always looking for ways
to drive improved service and greater operational efficiencies and
performance
Be driven to learn and understand the business need as well as the
product need
Perform all job functions consistent with HealthEdge policies and
procedures, including those which govern handling PHI and PII
Participate in billable work as assigned up to 50% as a Principal
Technical Consultant
Support internal initiatives and additional duties as assigned or
required.
