in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1 years
Radiation Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet
these qualifications will not be considered. A qualified Radiation
Therapist with ARRT registration is needed for a contract position
in Troy, ID. This role involves administering radiation therapy
following prescriptions from Radiation Oncologists and interacting
closely with patients, physicians, nurses, and family members. The
ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and
the ability to work with patients of all ages, from newborns to
geriatrics. Key Responsibilities: Administer radiation treatments
accurately while ensuring patient comfort and understanding
throughout the process. Prepare and warm up treatment machines
daily, documenting any deviations, and report issues to senior
staff. Operate and maintain the simulator, ensuring readiness and
proper functioning. Position patients correctly using
immobilization devices during simulations and treatments. Produce
quality radiographs and safely mark treatment areas. Maintain
continuous audio and visual contact with patients during therapy.
Schedule daily treatments and monitor patient progress, including
adverse reactions, weekly weight checks, and portal localization
films. Perform weekly chart audits to confirm treatment accuracy
and documentation. Ensure treatment rooms are orderly and
adequately stocked. Assist in patient transport and provide support
as needed. Participate in performance improvement activities and
attend all required trainings. Qualifications and Desired
Experience: ARRT certification (required; must be attached to
application) BLS certification through the American Heart
Association (required) Experience using Elekta radiation therapy
equipment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability
to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Location
