Job Description Job Description Flexible LPN Position - Per Diem/PRN - Jefferson and Nearby Areas The role of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) within our organization provides the opportunity for flexible, per diem nursing shifts across various hospital departments, such as Medical-Surgical, Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Department, and Behavioral Health. Candidates must possess recent bedside LPN experience, relevant certifications, and the ability to adapt to different shifts without guaranteed hours. LPNs will deliver patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs), uphold patient confidentiality, and coordinate care in dynamic healthcare settings. Discover your purpose with us! Utilizing the nursing process, you will deliver patient care under the oversight of licensed professionals authorized to prescribe medications and treatments, or under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN). You will maintain professional accountability for the care provided to your assigned patients and collaborate with other departments to ensure comprehensive patient care while safeguarding patient rights and confidentiality. Position Overview: Facility: Jefferson and Surrounding Areas Department: GIG Status: PRN/Per Diem/Flexible/Float Shift: Various Shifts Available JoinOurTeam Incentives: $30/hour plus Variable Shift Incentives W-2 Employee Status Minimum of 12 hours required every 90 days Maximum of 30 hours per week (Sunday to Saturday) Shifts available in 4, 8, or 12-hour increments Variable Shift Incentives Work on your terms! Position Summary: Are you looking for a flexible LPN role with incentives? You can choose between day or night shifts based on your preference! There are no mandatory weekend, holiday, or specific shift requirements. Participation in the Gig Nursing Program entails a commitment to scheduling a minimum number of hours, being available on short notice, and being adaptable to last-minute shift cancellations. Please note that the Gig Nursing Program does not guarantee shift hours and will be prioritized for cancellations. The LPN in this role will float among the designated facilities of their choice. Departments Seeking GIG LPNs: Behavioral Health Emergency Department Intensive Care Unit Medical-Surgical Locations: Facility A - St. Louis, MO Facility B - Festus, MO Facility C - South St. Louis County, MO Facility D - Washington, MO Facility E - Troy, MO Facility F - Perryville, MO Facility G - Cape Girardeau, MO Facility H - Dexter, MO Qualifications: Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent GED. Licensure: Must be a graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; equivalent educational experience and successful licensure will be considered. It is the candidate's responsibility to obtain and maintain a current LPN license in the state where nursing duties are performed, adhering to all State Board of Nursing requirements. Experience: At least one year of recent bedside LPN experience is required for Medical-Surgical roles. For other specialties (ED, ICU, etc.), a minimum of two years of recent bedside LPN experience is necessary. Certifications: For Medical-Surgical: BLS certification required. For Critical Care: BLS and ACLS certifications required. For Emergency Department: BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required. IV certification is mandatory. Preferred Experience: Familiarity with Epic software is a plus. Physical Requirements: This position necessitates the ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds regularly. It also requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift, as well as the capacity to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to fulfill job responsibilities. Why Choose Us?
