Job Description Job Description Overview of the LPN FT Cardiac Surgery Intermediate Position: This role is for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who will deliver patient care in a cardiac surgery intermediate care environment under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Key responsibilities include managing patient care, ensuring confidentiality, and following established nursing protocols. Utilizing the nursing process, you will provide patient care under the guidance of licensed professionals authorized to prescribe medications and treatments, or under the direction of an RN. You will maintain accountability for the care provided to your assigned patients, coordinating with other departments to ensure comprehensive patient care while upholding patient rights and confidentiality. Licensure: It is the candidate's responsibility to secure and maintain a current LPN license in the state where nursing duties will be performed, adhering to all State Board of Nursing regulations. Experience: Open to both new and experienced LPNs. Certifications: LPN-IV Certification must be completed prior to or within 3 months of hire (timeframe may vary from upon hire to within 1 year) Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or completion of the course within 30 days of hire Physical Requirements: Regularly required to push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds Prolonged standing and walking are necessary during each shift Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat is essential for performing job duties Why Choose Us?
