Job Description:
Location: Dothan, AL Dothan is known as "The Peanut Capital of
the World" and offers a warm Southern charm with a growing economy.
The city features excellent outdoor recreation opportunities,
affordable cost of living, and is conveniently located near the
Florida panhandle beaches and Gulf Coast. Facility: This facility
is a well-established emergency department that serves as an
important healthcare resource in the Dothan community. With 25 beds
in the department, it provides comprehensive emergency services to
the southeastern Alabama region as a Level 3 trauma center.
Opportunity: Physician - Emergency Medicine Job Details: • Shifts
available: 6a-6p, 10a-10p, 6p-6a with nights preferred • Average of
21 patient encounters per shift • Board eligibility required (if
not EM boarded) • ATLS required for non-EM boarded physicians •
Must have active DEA and Alabama state license • Provider must be
located 90 miles from facility • ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
required • Working in a Level 3 trauma facility • 24-hour
availability of support services including Anesthesia,
Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, Catheterization Lab, General Surgery,
Laboratory, Neuro-Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Radiology, and
Vascular Surgery • L&D department available in the facility (no
newborn deliveries received in ED) • Estimated credentialing
timeframe: 90 days • Start date: March 1, 2026 with ongoing
opportunity Compensation: Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay
and malpractice included.
