Job Title: Medical-Surgical Telemetry Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical-Surgical Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience required License: Registered Nurse license in the state or compact license Certifications: AHA BLS or Red Cross certification required Must-Have: - Ability to float to other units and hospitals - Willingness to work 36 or 48 hours per week - Availability for holidays as required - Availability for every other weekend Description: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical-Surgical Telemetry Nurse. Our unit is primarily home to the acute care trauma and surgical patient population. Nurses in this area work with a 1:6 patient ratio. The position specializes in an interdisciplinary team approach to each patient's needs. Staff members are experts in trauma as well as orthopedic and urology patients. The unit values collaboration with a variety of specialty physicians. Individualized attention is provided to all patients who are hospitalized for illness, surgery, or observation. Education required is an associate degree in nursing. Experience required is a minimum of 1 recent year in the field of specialty.
