Position Overview • Permanent, full-time role • First shift schedule • Outpatient and ambulatory care pharmacy setting • Collaboration with physicians, nurses, and clinic staff • Patient counseling and medication therapy management • $15,000 sign-on bonus Compensation & Incentives • Competitive salary (based on experience) • $15,000 sign-on bonus • Comprehensive benefits package • Professional growth and advancement opportunities Key Responsibilities • Verify and dispense prescription medications safely and accurately • Provide patient counseling and education on medications and adherence • Assist with medication therapy management and chronic disease management programs • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and clinic staff to optimize patient care • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and medication safety programs • Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations • Support immunization programs and outpatient pharmacy services • Maintain knowledge of drug formularies, clinical guidelines, and emerging therapies Requirements Minimum Qualifications • Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy • One year of outpatient or ambulatory care pharmacy experience preferred • Active and clear Registered Pharmacist license (Alabama) • Controlled Substance Permit (Alabama State Board of Pharmacy) • BLS certification within 90 days of hire/transfer Preferred Qualifications • PharmD degree • PGY-1 or PGY-2 Residency completion in ambulatory care • 3–5 years of outpatient pharmacy experience • Board of Pharmacy Specialties certification in ambulatory care or related field Why This Opportunity This role is ideal for a pharmacist seeking a patient-facing outpatient environment with strong clinical collaboration.
