Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Mar 30, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Cardiac Unit position in Alabama, requiring cardiac drip experience and an active AL or compact RN license. Details - Hospital-based Med/Surg Telemetry Cardiac Unit - Patient population focuses on cardiac cases requiring telemetry monitoring - Patient ratios of 1:6 to 1:7 - Cardiac drip experience required, including Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone administration - Night shift schedule: 7p–7a (3x12s) - Option to work 36 or 48 hours per week - Block scheduling is permitted - Every other weekend (EOW) is required - 13-week contract Requirements - Active AL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand and in good standing - Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required - ACLS preferred - Cardiac drip experience required (Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone) - Two professional references required for consideration - Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration - COVID vaccination required unless a documented religious or medical exemption is on file - Flu vaccination required unless a documented religious or medical exemption is on file Additional Information - Candidates must reside more than 90 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position — local travelers will not be considered - Compliance documentation must be submitted no later than one week prior to the start date - Orientation is 16 hours American Traveler Job ID P-683596.
