Job Description American Traveler is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a travel job in Montgomery, Alabama. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Cath Lab Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Days, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Mar 30, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of interventional cath lab experience, BLS and ACLS certification, for a busy Level II Trauma Center cath lab. Details - Work in a hospital-based cath lab with 4 procedure rooms - Adult cardiac population including STEMI/NSTEMI, LHC/RHC, CHF, Angina, ACS, Afib, IABP/Impella, CTOs, staged/protected PCI, pericardiocentesis, and temporary pacers - Procedures also include EP cases, vascular interventions, PE cases (Inari/EKOS), and hybrid/structural heart procedures; EP, vascular, PE, and structural experience not required - Average patient volume is 20-25 cases per day - Cerner EMR, XPER (Philips) hemodynamic system, IntellaSpace PACS, and Omnicell medication dispensing system - 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM with rotating call and late shift duties - Weekend call is every 4th weekend, Friday evening through Monday morning - Weekday call is 1 night per week and possibly 1 late shift per week; 30-minute response time required - Onsite call rooms available for use during call shifts - No floating required Requirements - Minimum of 1 year interventional (not diagnostic-only) cath lab experience - Current BLS and ACLS required - ARRT credential required; RCIS preferred but not required - Experience with STEMI/NSTEMI, LHC/RHC, CHF, Angina, ACS, Afib, IABP/Impella, CTOs, staged/protected PCI, pericardiocentesis, and temporary pacemakers - Skills required include laser lead extraction, Rotablator, FFR, IVUS, Impella, IABP, EKOS, pacemaker, scrub and pan table, Medrad, groin site management and monitoring - Cerner EMR experience preferred - 60-mile radius rule applies; no locals allowed - License required if applicable Additional Information - First-time travelers are welcome - Team support includes cath lab coordinator/supervisor, 24/7 RT and hospitalist coverage, on-call cardiologist, code team, and day shift transporter - Green hospital scrubs are provided - Parking deck available for staff - Returning employees must have a 6-month gap before being eligible as a traveler - Travelers new to the facility or returning after 1 year receive 24 hours of classroom orientation and 1-3 shifts on-unit orientation based on comfort level - Holiday work required for one major and one minor holiday per facility policy - All time off requests must be approved by the manager - Major equipment used includes Medtronic ACT, Rotapro, CSI, Shockwave, and laser, with experience not required for these - Call schedule and assignments are determined by the manager American Traveler Job ID P-663725.
