Job Description:
Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a skilled Speech
Pathologist to join our dynamic team. This position will be based
in our inpatient facilities and occasionally provide services in
home health settings. The successful candidate will diagnose and
treat individuals with speech, language, voice, and fluency
disorders, offering compassionate, personalized care that aligns
with our commitment to exceptional patient outcomes and well-being.
Evaluate patients’ speech, language, and swallowing difficulties
and devise appropriate treatment plans. Implement personalized
therapies and interventions as per the patient’s healthcare
requirements. Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals
to share insights and adjust care plans. Monitor patient progress
and adjust treatments accordingly. Provide training to patients,
families, and caregivers on how to cope with communication and
swallowing problems. Strong understanding of speech disorders and
treatment techniques. Ability to use and maintain modern speech
pathology equipment and aids. Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills. High emotional intelligence to empathize with
