Nurse (RN) to provide expert care within the Operating Room (OR),
specializing in Neuro/Spine procedures. This contract position
offers the chance to work a focused schedule supporting advanced
surgical interventions in a dynamic OR environment. Candidates will
contribute to exceptional patient outcomes through their clinical
expertise and professional approach. Location Overview: Situated in
the vibrant area of Trussville, AL, this role operates within a
well-equipped OR unit featuring 24 beds dedicated to surgery
patients. The healthcare setting employs advanced surgical
technology and an EMR system powered by Cerner, fostering
efficient, high-quality care. Key Responsibilities: Deliver
perioperative nursing care focused on Neuro/Spine cases,
maintaining a patient ratio of 1:1 Collaborate with surgical teams
to prepare and monitor patients undergoing complex procedures,
including those utilizing the DaVinci robot Adhere to strict
adherence to sterile and safety protocols within the OR Participate
in call rotations as per team requirements, ensuring prompt
response during emergencies Utilize Cerner for documentation and
patient care coordination Maintain professional appearance in navy
scrubs and comply with dress code policies (e.g., no nail polish,
no fleece jackets, no t-shirts) Qualifications and Desired
Experience: Valid RN license with 2 years of experience in
Neuro/Spine OR nursing Current BLS and ACLS (AHA) certifications
required Experience with DaVinci surgical systems, Max Facet
procedures, or orthopedic surgeries is preferred Ability to float
within a 25-mile radius of the primary facility as needed Schedule
and Hours: Four 10-hour shifts per week, from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
(36 guaranteed hours) Call requirements vary depending on team
assignment and will be discussed during interview This contract
