Providing skilled nursing care in a high-acuity operating room environment, this opportunity focuses on Neurosurgery/Spine procedures within a well-established surgical unit. The role entails working in a 24-bed OR with a dedicated 1:1 patient ratio and utilizing advanced equipment, including robotic surgical systems. This position is ideal for an experienced registered nurse with at least two years of neuro/spine OR experience seeking a dynamic, contract assignment with daytime hours. Location This position is based near a major medical center bustling with cutting-edge technology and dedicated to comprehensive surgical care. Schedule / Hours Four 10-hour shifts per week (6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) 36 guaranteed weekly hours Call responsibilities apply and will vary by team assignment Responsibilities Deliver expert perioperative nursing care specializing in neuro and spine surgeries Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes Operate within a 1:1 patient care ratio in a 24-bed OR unit Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient monitoring Maintain compliance with dress code standards, including wearing navy scrubs and adhering to grooming policies Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 2 years of experience in Neuro/Spine OR nursing BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required Experience with Davinci Robot and orthopedic procedures preferred Ability to float within a 25-mile radius of the home campus This contract opportunity offers a challenging and rewarding work environment within a prominent surgical program.
