Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Tuscaloosa, AL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,984 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 Year of Recent Experience in the Specialty License: Registered Nurse State License or Compact License (No Temporary Licenses Accepted) Certifications: AHA BLS, Red Cross Certification Must-Have: - Associate Degree in Nursing - 1 Year of Recent Experience in Telemetry Nursing Description: This position is for a Multi-specialty unit. The unit primarily focuses on medical and telemetry patients. Candidates must be willing to float to other units and hospitals. The unit operates on a 36-hour work week. Holidays are required as needed. Every other weekend is also a requirement. The unit is the only 24/7 acute care area specializing in medical and surgical care. It accommodates up to 36 patients. Patient populations include dialysis and telemetry monitoring along with other acute medical needs. Surgical procedures include orthopedic surgeries and general surgery. A strong emphasis is placed on patient-centered care. The goal is to optimize patient outcomes through effective pain management, mobility, and complication prevention. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6, with support from a Team Leader. This role offers an excellent environment for developing solid nursing skills. A culture of family and teamwork is fostered throughout the unit. Candidates will be part of a dedicated team that prioritizes making patient experiences pleasant and comfortable in a safe environment.
