POSITION: Traveling Retail Superintendent DescriptionAsa
Carlton, Inc., a commercial construction company headquartered in
Braselton, Georgia, currently has an opening for a Superintendent.
We are seeking candidates with extensive experience in the Retail
and Commercial Construction sectors, with specialization in
fast-paced projects, multi-site Retail programs, renovations and
interior buildouts, and open store remodels. This candidate will be
responsible for managing projects nationwide across the entire US.

construction firm specializing in retail, hospitality, office, and
healthcare interiors nationwide. Today, the company continues to
grow rapidly into one of the most respected and widely used
performance-based interior contractors on a national level. Asa
Carlton Inc.'s services, in addition to General Contracting,
include performing many of the critical path interior scopes of
work such as drywall, flooring, and fixtures with our own forces -
allowing us to control the schedule and quality of each project
more tightly. We maintain licenses in the contiguous 48 states, and
Puerto Rico. From smaller retail rollouts, resets, attractions, and
merchandising projects to multi-site programs, complete
renovations, conversions, and new construction, Asa Carlton's focus

disruption to their end user. Job Description
Responsible for the on-site management of Retail/Commercial
construction projects.
Supervising, managing, and working with teams traveling to
locations throughout the US.
Responsible for coordinating and completing specific projects on
time, within budget with a keen eye for quality, safety, and
production.
Prepare daily field reports, progress reports, production reports,
time sheets, expense reports, etc. and provide timely progress
updates to the Asa Carlton project team.
Responsible for scheduling and ensuring the appropriate staffing of
daily construction activities with subcontractors and vendors.
Maintain all critical path scheduling to ensure deadlines and
project deliverables are met. Provide lookahead schedules to the
Project Manager.
Responsible for onsite inventory management of all material and
equipment. Performs audits as needed and tracks and receives
material deliveries.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and key team members to
ensure that project specifications are met.
Assists the Project Team to obtain permits and licenses from
appropriate authorities.
Comply with building codes as well as legal requirements of
authorities having jurisdiction.
Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report
issues.
Establish the safety culture at the jobsite and be proactive in the
prevention of injuries to employees and the public, environmental
hazards and property losses through professional planning and
management of assigned projects.
Assure jobsite compliance to Asa Carlton's Environmental, Health &
Safety (EHS) program, policies, and regulatory requirements
including any client or facility specific requirements.
Ensures all work is performed safely in compliance with all safety
policies and procedures and OSHA requirements.
Conduct and document weekly Jobsite Safety Analysis (JSA), and
toolbox safety meetings.
Enforce project quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC)
standards.
Coordinate, conduct, and document QA/QC meetings and inspections at
the jobsite.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Five years or more of proven experience as a Superintendent in
Retail and Commercial Construction is required.
OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.
Candidate must have a proven record of successfully competing
projects on time with a high level of quality and customer
satisfaction.
Ideal candidate is highly detail oriented, strong problem solver
and possess the ability to work with subcontractors, owner
representatives, city officials and design/engineering
professionals at all levels.
Experience with multi-state Retail programs, rollouts, and
renovations is preferred.
Experience with new ground-up projects, new additions, and
expansions is a plus.
Ability to read, understand, interpret, and apply standard to
complex construction documents, drawings, and specifications for
Retail/Commercial projects.
Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite, with an emphasis in
Excel.
Professional written, oral, and interpersonal communication
skills.
Excellent organization skills and time management ability.
Must have the ability to push, pull, and lift material up to 50
pounds and perform tasks that involve stooping, walking, bending,
searching for items, and standing for periods of time.
Must have strong self-management skills.
Must demonstrate good judgment and show respect for others.
Must own, have the knowledge of, and the ability to use hand tools
including power tools.
Ability to work outdoors in various conditions.
Must have reliable transportation and have a valid driver's
license.
Must be able to travel to any US work location.
