AS A HUMAN FACTORS INTERN AT STRYKER, YOU WILL:
Work cross functionally with different departments including R&D Engineering, Project Management, Health Care Solutions, Marketing, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs to assist in human factors research programs and develop a broad understanding of the regulated human factors research landscape

Perform human factors engineering and user experience activities within the constraints of a complex regulated environment and in partnership with Clinical, Regulatory, and Agency teams

Accompany Human Factors Engineer in conducting usability testing, use error analysis, and post-launch outcomes analysis

Assist in customer and user needs identification, development of user and workplace profiles, use scenarios, and task analyses

Shadow Human Factors Engineers at cross functional team meetings to gain exposure to the collaborative process associated with the product development lifecycle
MAJORS TARGETED: Human Factors Engineering; Usability Engineering; Industrial Engineering; Biomedical Engineering; Biology; Business - General ; Business Analytics; Data Science; Computer Science; Mathematics; Statistics; Clinical Affairs; Healthcare; Project Management; Materials Science
WHAT YOU NEED
Currently working on -completion of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in related field or equivalent; we will only consider students who plan be enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the summer
Cumulative 3.0 GPA or -above; must be the case at the date of hire and also will be verified during background check in the spring
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require employment-based sponsorship now or in the future.
Excellent -written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and -analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow

Versatility, -flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities -with enthusiasm
Ability to exercise independent judgment
Proficient on -basic computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Proven -leadership and business acumen skills
Proven ability to handle multiple -projects and meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills
