Details:Our dynamic engineering firm is seeking a seasoned IT
Systems Administrator to join our team. This is a permanent
position that provides the opportunity to work with cutting-edge
technology in a supportive and challenging environment. The
successful candidate will be an integral part of our IT department,
helping to maintain and improve our network infrastructure,
ensuring the smooth operation of our systems, and providing crucial
support to our staff. This role is perfect for a problem-solver
with a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of IT systems,
and a passion for technology.Responsibilities:As an IT Systems
Administrator, you will be responsible for:1. Managing and
monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure, including LAN
and WAN devices.2. Installing, configuring, testing, and
maintaining operating systems, application software, and system
management tools.3. Overseeing the administration of our AWS
environments, including design, provisioning, monitoring,
automation, and maintenance.4. Ensuring the highest levels of
systems and infrastructure availability through proactive
monitoring and maintenance.5. Providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 support
to our staff, troubleshooting system hardware, software, and
operating and system management systems.6. Managing and testing
disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.7.
Administering and supporting core Microsoft, VMware, and other
technologies.8. Managing Active Directory and handling user
accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in
accordance with best-practices regarding privacy, security, and
regulatory compliance.9. Participating in and supporting capacity
planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for
systems and software in conjunction with end-users and department
managers.Qualifications:The ideal candidate for the IT Systems
Administrator position should have the following qualifications:1.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Systems Administrator role
or similar.2. Proven experience with AWS, Active Directory, Server
Administration, LAN and WAN devices, and VMware virtual servers.3.
Demonstrated experience in overseeing the design, development, and
implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or
products.4. Proven experience in troubleshooting and providing
support at the Tier 2 and Tier 3 level.5. Experience in disaster
recovery planning and testing.6. Excellent knowledge of current
protocols and standards, including Active Directory, Group
Policies, MS Exchange, Core Switching/Routing, SSL/IPSec, SAN,
Virtualization, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery.7. Strong
interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to
communicate complex technical issues in an easy to understand
manner.8. A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or
a related field is preferred.9. Relevant professional
certifications (such as MCSE, CCNA, VMware VCP, AWS Certified
