And you'll do your life's best work.(sm) Primary Responsibilities: All functions associated with the implementation and maintenance of SQL Server 2005 through latest databases including security, back-up/restoration, logging, reporting and recovery procedures Proactively optimize performance of databases through ongoing administration including monitoring, performance and index tuning, and updating/verifying current backup/recovery procedures, troubleshoot network bottlenecks, disk queue issues, table configurations, load monitoring, integrity checks Design and maintenance of SSIS packages Monitoring of scheduled jobs and logs Support of business and system processes and procedures Installation and Configuration of multiple instances and versions and components of SQL server, including SQL reporting services, notification services, and analysis services Support of business and system processes and procedures Ability to work on multiple tasks/production issues Knowledge to run SQL profiler and capture info On-call rotation, available for 24/7 support and expected to work some weekend and after hours Required Qualifications: BS in Computer Science or related field Minimum of 5 years SQL Server Database Administrator experience Minimum 5 years' experience with TSQL, SSIS Packages (ETL), and Stored Procedure development and troubleshooting Experience with MS SQL Server (2005 or greater) tools, including Query Analyzer, SQL Agent Jobs and Profiler Available for on-call rotation Experience with Windows Server platforms in relation to SQL installations and upgrades Preferred Qualifications: Experience in SQL Server Version Migration Disaster Recovery Planning Experience with SQL Server performance tuning Experience building fully-automated data processing solutions Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience with Business Intelligence tools Careers with OptumRx.
