Job Description:

Driver with our fleet, you will be part of a dedicated group that
thrives on precision and efficiency, ensuring that critical freight
reaches its destination safely and on time. Safely operate
commercial trucks to transport goods to various destinations within
scheduled time frames. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and
safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. Plan routes
using GPS systems to optimize travel times and fuel efficiency.
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight,
route designations, parking, break periods) as well as with company
policies and procedures. Manage documentation related to cargo,
routing, and delivery, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Handle
unexpected events (delays, traffic conditions, mechanical problems)
efficiently to minimize impact on service. Communicate effectively
with dispatch and logistics coordinators to update on progress and
address any challenges. High proficiency in operating commercial
trucks and trailers. Strong understanding of route planning and
freight logistics. Excellent time management and communication
capabilities. Basic mechanical skills to assess vehicle's condition
and handle minor repairs. Good physical condition, able to handle
the physical demands of the job. Valid commercial driver’s license
(CDL) in the state of residence. No serious tickets or accidents in
the last 5 years. No driving under the influence (DUI) or driving
while impaired (DWI) convictions in the last 5 years. Completion of
a DOT physical exam and drug and alcohol testing.
