About the Role: Class A CDL driver operates primarily tractor trailer and Front-End Loader and Roll-Off Trucks (Class B). The successful candidate must be self-motivated, an initiative-taker, and take the driver responsibility very seriously. There is growth potential with this position. Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Operate vehicles in accordance with OSHA and DOT requirements, as well as all local, state, and federal laws. Perform pre and post trip vehicle inspections and document utilizing the standard DVR. Deliver quality customer service and interaction at the utmost professional level. Record and maintain daily customer delivery tickets. Communicate customer requests and/or service interruptions to Operations staff. Minimum Job Qualifications: A valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License Must be 21 years of age. Successfully complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical and 7-year background check, which will include previous employment check, criminal history, and motor vehicle review. Must be able to verify and maintain accurate daily records. Strong customer service skills Be able to lift up to 65 lbs. and push/pull 200 lb. recycling containers. Preferred Job Qualifications: At least three (3) years of experience driving commercial routes, preferably in the recycling or waste management industry. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: Extensively use hands and fingers to handle or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. Frequently required to sit, walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, speak and hear. Must be able to lift up to 65 lbs. and push/pull 200 lb. recycling containers. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate . Pay Rate: $21.00 - $24.00 hourly, based upon years of service.
