Performance Foodservice, a prominent leader in food distribution, delivering a vast array of products to a diverse clientele, is actively seeking a Shipping Supervisor to oversee and optimize our shipping operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient, timely, and cost-effective delivery of over 150,000 food and food-related products nationwide. Manage daily shipping operations to ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations. Coordinate and oversee the scheduling, loading, and dispatching of orders efficiently Work closely with warehouse managers to optimize packing and shipping processes and ensure order accuracy Supervise and train shipping department staff, promoting a culture of safety and efficiency Collaborate with other departmental supervisors to improve overall supply chain efficiency Monitor shipping costs, transportation routes, and rates to optimize budget Implement and maintain quality control standards to minimize damage and ensure customer satisfaction Oversee the maintenance and operation of shipping equipment and software Strong leadership and people management skills Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory management, or logistics software Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations effectively Excellent communication and organizational skills Medical Insurance 401k Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) preferred Certification in Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCP) is a plus
