Kimber Mfg., Inc.Job DescriptionJob Title: Customer Service SpecialistLocation: Troy, ALClassification: ExemptGrade: Department: Customer ServiceReports To: Director of Customer ExperienceDate: 02/01/2021SUMMARY/ OBJECTIVEThe Customer Service Specialist is a staff member responsible for providing customers with a positive experience through improved communication and analytics. The Customer Service Specialist will work in concert with the Director of Customer Experience to develop and implement key initiatives focused on best-in-class customer service.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop a best-in-class service experience for the customerGenerate KPI department reports by gathering and analyzing relevant dataOrganize and maintain the Customer Service knowledge baseUnderstand/learn the nature and functionality of the products Kimber markets to ensure customer questions are answered accuratelyCommunicate directly with customers through a variety of mediumsAssist in identifying improvement opportunitiesManage improvement initiative projectsReport trends and other data as requiredAttend trade shows and events as neededComplete other duties as assigned by directorQUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Proficient with MS Office, email, and ability to master new applications (e.g. ERP software)Knowledge of firearms; quality, features, safety, etc.Project management exposureAnalyticsProfessional and cordial demeanorAccurately type 35 words per minute or fasterAbility to use phones, copiers, and other standard office equipment properlyMastery of the English languageExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenCross functional team builder/player with high levels of professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasmMust be able to work accurately and efficiently in a fast work environment that has the potential to change due to regulatory and business needsNeed to be detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to multi-taskExperience working independently with little supervisionEDUCATION/EXPERIENCERequired: High School Diploma or GED Preferred:Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related fieldLANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret quality performance reports and create solutions. Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.REASONING ABILITYThis position requires various reasoning abilities in order to be successful such as:Ability to collect and document data Ability to follow written and oral instructions Ability to perform complex and varied tasks Ability to perform simple, repetitive tasks for an extended period of timeCOMPUTER SKILLS Required knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word using MS Windows platform. MS PowerPoint and Outlook. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTSThis position may require travel occasionally.OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Attendance is an essential job requirement defined as having regular, consistent, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance including the ability to work regular hours and shifts, overtime before and after shifts and on weekends.
