Job Description:

Position Summary Maintain production of Ceiling System products to meet customer requirements. Duties * Ability to assemble based on knowledge of the functions of major component parts and sub-assemblies within an assigned area. * Use and understand torque wrenches and test equipment and trouble shoot. * Maintain published productivity standards on moderately challenging assemblies by utilizing a traveler, blueprint and standard work. * Maintain high quality standards (meet the departments published quality rating). * Sound working knowledge of all related test equipment and its purposes. * Maintain safe work areas and practice safe work habits. * Apply 5S tools to include the T-card system. Education Degree * High School Diploma or GED Required Experience * Computer Skills to include Microsoft Office, and Shop Floor Control. * Knowledge, understanding and application of Lean Manufacturing tools, such as, 5S, Kanban Inventory. * Ability to read blueprints, knowledge of schematics * Experience using torque wrenches and test equipment and related troubleshooting. * Ability to make decisions and stay quality focused * Ability to understand and follow work instructions, both written and oral. * Ability to adapt to conditions as dictated by business requirements. * Proven teamwork experience. * Ability to work overtime, if required. * Knowledge, understanding and application of Lean Manufacturing tools, such as, 5S, Kanban Inventory. Preferred Experience * Prior AS400 experience preferred * Experience with hydraulics and electrical component assemblies desired.
