Job Description
The AFINC II contract supporting the 26th Network Operations
Squadron (26NOS) is searching for qualified candidates for the
position of a Senior SharePoint Administrator.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as SharePoint Senior Administrator and key individual working
within the Systems Administration team with various stakeholders
managing SharePoint site configurations, permissions, backups and
servers operating in a 24x7 multi-enterprise networks
environment
- Oversee activity pertaining to the SharePoint maintenance,
technical support and policies enforcement
- Administrate architecture, sites/subsites, libraries, lists,
site collections, and/or backend designs
- Day-to-day fluency using Microsoft DNS and Active Directory to
manage policies & user objects
- Manage and revise site layouts and customize SharePoint sites
for teams and leadership purposes
- Create and maintain SharePoint Workflows in SharePoint
Designer
- Candidate will work to mentor, interact with users and optimize
SharePoint as a collaborative tool
- Manage, open, and remediate tickets (incident, problem, change,
service requests, etc.) in accordance with 26 NOS policies and any
Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This encompasses any ticketing
system used to record tickets utilized by 26 NOS personnel in
support of mission requirements
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve application, software, web,
database, or network issues
- Support all physical/virtual servers platform hardware
procurement, setup, monitoring, backup, troubleshooting and Windows
server operating system administration
- Plan, research, patch/upgrade SharePoint application components
in conjunction with Windows Server OS on a monthly basis to ensure
security integrity and compliance
- Perform systems operations, monitor systems activities and
ensure smooth daily operation of systems
- Maintain, update, develop and sustain technical documents,
analyses, and reports
- Provide technical support in all customer interaction
situations, including receipt of specifications, design, test, and
response to service requests
- Perform root cause analysis, recommend, and implement tactical
and strategic solutions to problems
- Create and maintain documentation such as system security
plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs), server or application
checklists, user instructions, quick guides, and training
material
- Familiarity to utilize 26 NOS tools such as PuTTY, PowerShell,
NotePad++, OneNote, SecureCRT, Splunk Enterprise, SolarWinds Orion,
etc. to optimize and automate system administrator tasks
- Ability to utilize remote access out-of-band management (OOBM)
tools such as integrated Dell Remote Access (iDRAC), integrated
Lights-Out (iLO or KVM technologies
- Capacity to support 3rd party applications such as ForeScout
CounterACT, Veritas NetBackup, McAfee Endpoint Security System
(ESS), Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), Microsoft
SQL server or IIS8, IIS10 web servers/sites
- Familiarity with general networking topics such as SSL, proxy,
routing protocols, firewall rules, and ability to support/interact
F5 load balancing local traffic management using virtual IPs
- Ideal candidate is familiar or proficient using O365,
SharePoint online, Microsoft Office Suite, Windows Servers, Windows
SQL server, Web IIS server and SharePoint Designer
- Primarily responsible to maintain valid system certificates,
web application certificates and/or two-factor authentication (2FA)
within a smart card Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
environment
- Ability or experience evaluating Tenable Nessus scan report
data; participate and/or responsible to take the lead with audits,
reviews and response phases of the Vulnerability Management (VM)
life cycle
- Candidate able to install and patch operating systems,
applications, and document Department Information Systems Agency
(DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs)
checklists applicable to each Non-classified or Secret Internet
Protocol (IP) Router Network (NIPRNet, SIPRNet)
- Ensure networks receive periodic updates from AFCYBER-released
software patches, updates, and upgrades via Time Compliance
Technical Orders (TCTO), Time Compliance Network Orders (TCNO),
Maintenance Tasking Order (MTO) and Notices to Airman (NOTAMs)
- Assist AF Cyber personnel with the DISA Information Assurance
Vulnerability Management (IAVM) programs, cybersecurity toolsets,
and Operation Order (OPORD)/Fragmentary Order (FRAGO) support
- Communicate, manage expectations, eliminate gaps and
successfully interact with multiple external and internal 26th NOS
team leads, admins, analysts, users, customers, system owners and
management
- Candidate will report to the 26th NOS Systems Administration
(SA) team leadership Qualifications
- Candidate should have 5-8 years of IT related systems
deployment, operation, and support experience
- Candidate must have a minimum of 5+ years of Windows based
experience and preferably experience interacting with 3rd party web
applications especially web-client based server systems
- Prefer Windows implementation or administration in a
large-scale environment preferably overseeing daily, weekly,
monthly functions and best practices; SharePoint Power User or
support experience a plus
- Possess ability to think creatively to devise customizations
and uses for SharePoint
- Ability or skills with ASP.Net, JavaScript, Visual Studio, XML,
C#
- Preferred in-depth knowledge and experience with Microsoft
SharePoint 2010/2013+, SharePoint Designer, Access, Office or O365;
any experience migrating SharePoint application to newer
versions
- Familiarity of defense-in-depth principles,
network/hardware/software security architecture, network topology,
IT device integrity, and common security elements
- Cybersecurity and privacy principles used to manage risks
related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of data
and information
- Support day-to-day technical communication systems, alerts and
incident tickets in support of operations
- Prefer candidate with 2+ years of years of hands-on experience
in SharePoint or Web server/site support with experience in
mid-to-large data center environments and patch/update
management
- Demonstrated advanced diagnostics, analytical, troubleshooting
skills
- Preferred system hardening experience
- Preferred experience with physical servers and in virtualized
environments such as VMware vSphere's vCenter Server Appliance,
ESXi hosts, virtual machines (VMs)
