Job Description Job Title: 2nd Shift Production Supervisor Location: Troy, AL Classification: Non-exemptGrade: SalaryDepartment: CNC Reports To: Manufacturing Manager Date: 03/18/2022SUMMARY/OBJECTIVEThe 2nd Shift Production Supervisor is a key factory staff member responsible for directing, inspecting, and maintaining programs and processes that support the CNC operations functions within Kimber Manufacturing. The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor will work in concert with cross functional teams and other departments to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives in the Troy plant operations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the startup of new products, processes and equipment
  • Provide support for facilities improvements
  • Maintain a safe, clean and respectful work environment
  • Ensure part quality as specified by product standard
  • Utilizes strong problem-solving skills to meet or exceed production requirements that include but are not limited to – 1. Safety Metrics 2. Quality Metrics (FPY, FAV on time, Capability Achieved) 3. Cost Metrics (Scrap, Labor, maintenance and Supplies, etc.) 4. Delivery schedules (Schedule Actualization and Yield)
    • Balance work cell capacity/loading across Troy plant
    • Determine operations headcount need and provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate strong working relationships
    • Manage department expenses and budgets
    • Coordinate machine PMs, repairs and replacement of equipment to maintain quality, cost and production targets
    • Maintain facility in optimum condition
    • Leads activities to develop CapEx needs and provide support for Capital Equipment justifications
    • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures
    • Recommend improvements in the process or organization that will support the goals of the company
    • Perform other related duties as assignedSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis job has direct supervisory responsibilities including but not limited to:
      • Direct and supervise employees assigned to the Troy operations regarding their daily activities, assignments, schedules and adherence to company policies
      • Provide leadership for employee relation through effective communication, coaching, training, and development. Detail and implement long-term direct reports/organization plan to increase overall department responsiveness
      • Ensure the staff is qualified for their assigned tasks
      • Execute performance reviews and disciplinary action as required QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.         • 10 years of manufacturing experience
        • 5 years of supervisory experience
        • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
        • Proficient with computers and MS Office software
        • Ability to lead others effectively
        • Experience within a firearms manufacturer preferredEDUCATION/EXPERIENCERequired:
          • Minimum: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experiencePreferred:
            • 4-year degree in Business, Engineering, or related fieldREASONING ABILITYThis position requires various reasoning abilities in order to be successful such as:
