Inventory Planning Specialist

Job Description:

The Inventory Planning Specialist is responsible for ensuring stock levels in the Mobis Redistribution Center are adequate to meet customer demand by monitoring and forecasting demand trends, placing and tracking purchase orders (POs), and analyzing sales and inventory data.

Research and review stock levels to determine accurate quantities of parts to place on purchase order (PO)Monitor and adjust orders based on changing demand trendsDaily analyze monthly demand for after-service (A/S) parts and provide concise estimated monthly demand (EMD) figuresExecute efficient and proper decision making to analyze inventory stocking levels for optimal return on investmentAnalyze stock levels by part size to ensure warehouse has adequate space to store all stockPlan inventory levels for future seasonal months while incorporating lead timeUpload POs to Mobis replenishment system for RDC stock replenishmentTrack POs from suppliers to report and expedite past-due itemsPrepare and coordinate new model parts planningUpload, process, cancel, and revise POs as neededCollaborate with RDC Purchasing department to determine when to escalate POs to Emergency statusGather and analyze sales and inventory data from replenishment system in order to complete forecasting reportsPresent finding of forecasting reports to PSP Team Leader as neededUtilize sales and inventory reports for Mobis RDCs Plan of Action when making ordering decisionsAll other duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibilities: NoPreferred Education & Experience:Bachelors degree in Business Management, Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Statistics, or related field, plus 0 + years of experience in an inventory planning OR Associate degree with 2+ years of experience in an inventory planning.Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Good communication, analytical, and technical skillsStrong Excel and PowerPoint skillsStrong problem solving and conflict resolution skillsAbility to make good decisions and take decisive action in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Education & Experience:0 - 3 years of inventory planning experienceWorking Conditions:95% Office; 5% Floor5% Domestic/International Travel
