Utilizing the nursing process, you will deliver patient care under the guidance of licensed professionals authorized by a State regulatory board to prescribe treatments and medications, or under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). You will maintain accountability for the care provided to your assigned patients, coordinating efforts with various departments. Upholding patient rights and ensuring the confidentiality of patient information are essential aspects of this role. Position Overview: PART TIME - LPN - Springfield, Missouri ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Licensure: Completion of an accredited practical nursing program; equivalent educational experience and successful licensure may also be considered. It is your responsibility to secure and maintain a valid LPN license in the state where you will perform nursing duties, adhering to all State Board of Nursing regulations. Physical Requirements: The role involves standing and walking for the majority of the shift, along with considerable bending, stooping, and assisting in lifting and turning patients; the ability to push, pull, or grip up to 50 pounds is necessary. Experience: Open to both new and seasoned LPNs. Certifications: Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or completion of the course within 30 days of employment. LPN-IV Certification must be completed prior to or within 3 months of hire (ranging from upon hire to within 1 year). NOTE: Depending on the specific position or unit, additional certifications may be required or must be obtained within a designated timeframe: ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization) S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules Other unit-specific certifications as necessary. Physical Demands: The position necessitates the ability to regularly push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. Prolonged standing and walking are required throughout each shift.
